Pageant Interview Coaching
The Interview Coach
Singers, dancers and performers take lessons in their discipline. Athletes and actors, as well as politicians, solicit critical feedback from experts. Even on-air personalities are coached. It is unrealistic to expect to achieve excellence in the interview without professional instruction. This requires teachers who are informed, experienced and empathetic.
What Works; What Doesn't
Generally pageant competitors practice the same things, answer the same questions and receive the same feedback. The mock interview panel is often composed of people who have limited knowledge of the pageant instructional methods. Educational research has demonstrated that people learn in divergent ways. In order to significantly improve, contestants must be instructed and challenged in multiple learning modalities.
Experience Makes the Difference
Our backgrounds in education, communication and the media make us uniquely qualified us to teach presentation and speaking skills. We have developed a system for teaching which includes: listening/speaking skills, critical thinking/response, and fluency/style. Our clients include: politicians, radio & TV personalities, job seekers and - of course - pageant participants.
We believe in building on the unique personality, strengths and communication style of each contestant. Teaching and experiences are tailored to the individual. One-on-one coaching, positive feedback, constructive criticism and personal attention are integral parts of our system.
